Woodblock Workshop with Ma’s House AIR Jenie Gao

Join artist-in-residence Jenie Gao for an introduction to woodcut!
Curious about printmaking? In this workshop, Jenie will teach you the techniques for hand-carving and hand-printing a woodblock. With over 15 years of experience, Jenie has a wealth of knowledge to share. They will teach best practices such as how to work carefully with the wood grain, composition for woodcut, and how to pull bold, rich prints every time.
Allow yourself at least 3 hours to finish carving and printing your woodblock. Paper will be provided. Please bring your own fabrics / t-shirts / totes if you’d like to try printing on textiles!
