About the work

“Multiverse” is an artistic representation that merges the concepts of nature, individual perception, and interconnectedness. Through the cyanotype technique, I crafted a mandala shape using plants, symbolizing the intrinsic connection between nature and the inner and outer worlds of individuals. The plants used in this artwork were sourced from Ma’s house, evoking a personal and intimate connection to the environment. Additionally, during the Kameyama Triennial in the autumn of 2022, I extended this exploration by creating and installing approximately 100 hanging mandalas in Japan, further emphasizing the interplay of universes within our world.
