The Ma’s House project is being led by artist and photographer Jeremy Dennis. Dennis is a contemporary fine art photographer and a tribal member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton, NY. In his work, he explores indigenous identity, culture, and assimilation.

Brianna L. Hernández Baurichter is a Chicana artist, curator, and educator guided by socially-engaged practices. Brianna’s interdisciplinary practice focuses on end-of-life care, grief, and trauma, informed by her own experience as her mother’s caregiver and formal death doula training. Brianna will serve as the Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio Inc. board secretary.
Darlene Troge (Jeremy’s Aunt & Shinnecock Tribal Member) has a business administration background and will serve as the Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio board treasurer.
Avery Dennis Jr. (Jeremy’s father & Shinnecock Tribal Member) is leading the work to rehabilitate Ma’s House by re-framing walls, replacing floors, and general house maintenance.
